I love this quote from Joni Eareckson Tada: “The Christian faith is meant to be lived moment by moment. It isn’t some broad, general outline — it’s a long walk with a real Person. Details count: passing thoughts, small sacrifices, a few encouraging words, little acts of kindness, brief victories over nagging sins…”

Bible Study Questions:
This week in our Virtual VBS, we’ve been reading John Chapters 15-16 and talking about abiding in the Vine.
1)Look up John 15:1-2 and 8. For what purpose does God “prune” us? From your own experience or observation, what does that pruning look like? (In other words, HOW does He prune us?)
2) With this in mind, read Hebrews 12:1-11. How has this (vs 11) been true in your own life so far? What hope does it give you for the future?
“The vinedresser is never nearer the branches then when he is pruning them.” — David Jeremiah
3) What’s the most important thing you want to remember from this week’s study? Write it in your journal, on a sticky note, in a Facebook post or a tweet, or scrapbook it. Share it with a friend or family member. Whatever will help it stick!
4) Practice this week’s memory verse, John 15:4.

Sharing another of my favorite songs with you this week: This is a beautiful rendition of “For This I Have Jesus” written and performed by Graham Kendrick. It’s a live recording from a concert of praise at Coventry Cathedral. Take a few minutes to listen and be blessed!

Today’s Question: Think about the biggest thing (or things) weighing on your heart today… the pressure or stress or worry or fear. The need. Whatever it is, be specific. And then fill in the blank: For _________, I have Jesus.
