It’s my joy to be a member of The Order of the Daughters of the King® — an organization of Christian women all over the world who take vows committing themselves to a life of prayer, service, and evangelism. I also have the joy of serving on the Executive Board of the Diocesan Assembly of Central Florida and speaking at DOK events.

What Daughters Do
Since 1885, Daughters have agreed to live by a Rule of Life that emphasizes personal prayer and Bible study. We meet regularly in our local chapters (or churches), deaneries, and dioceses to pray together, study the Bible together, undertake special service projects, and support other ministries in our church and/or community. We also gather every three years for Triennial — an international, interdenominational assembly attended by Daughters from countries all over the world. (Denominations most represented by current membership are Anglican, Episcopalian, Lutheran, and Catholic.) Each Daughter wears the distinctive Cross of the Order on a daily basis, as a personal reminder of her vows and a public witness to her faith in Christ.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to make Him known to others, and to become reflections of God’s love throughout the world.
The Mission Statement of The Order
The Mission of The Order is the extension of Christ’s Kingdom through Prayer, Service and Evangelism.
The Motto of The Order
For His Sake…
I am but one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. What I can do, I ought to do. What I ought to do, by the grace of God I will do.
Lord, what will you have me do?
The Prayer of The Order
O Eternal Father, You have sent us Your Son to teach us things pertaining to Your heavenly Kingdom. Give Your blessing to our Order wherever it may be throughout the world. Grant that we, Your Daughters, ever may discern Your truth and bear the cross through the battles of our earthly life. Give us strength to overcome temptation and the grace to work to spread Your Kingdom and to gather Your scattered sheep within Your fold. Pour out upon us the sevenfold gift of the Holy Spirit that we may always remember it is Your work we are called to do, that all we think, do or say may be pleasing in Your sight. We ask it all For His Sake, our King and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
The Hymn of The Order
Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim till all the world adore His sacred name.
Come, Christians, follow where our Savior trod, our King victorious, Christ, the Son of God.
Led on their way by this triumphant sign, the hosts of God in conquering ranks combine.
Each newborn servant of the Crucified bears on the brow the seal of Him who died.
O Lord, once lifted on the glorious tree, As Thou has promised, draw the world to Thee.
So shall our song of triumph ever be: praise to the Crucified for victory.
