Writing and Speaking on
C.S. Lewis
That’s me sitting in C.S. Lewis’s garden at The Kilns! I’ve loved Lewis since I was a little girl, ever since I first read The Chronicles of Narnia — and kept on reading them — until the paperbacks literally fell apart. Writing and speaking and teaching on Lewis has been a significant part of my career and ministry. I even met my husband — a Lewis scholar — because of C.S. Lewis!
In 1947, Time magazine called C.S. Lewis “one of the 20th century’s most imaginative theologians.” Thousands of pastors and priests quote him in their Sunday sermons every week. Millions of people have been deeply impacted by his books, in profound and life-changing ways.
One of the reasons Lewis’s books are so popular — and remain so popular— is because there are layers and layers to them, which means you can come back again and again at different ages and in different stages of your life, and get more out of them every time you read them. Always, Lewis points us to Christ and challenges us to grow deeper in our relationship with Him.
I’m grateful to have had the privilege of writing a number of books to help readers get the most out of Lewis’s books (with more coming soon!) including:
A Family Guide to Narnia: Biblical Truths in C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia
A Family Guide to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
A Family Guide to Prince Caspian
A Christian Teacher’s Guide to The Chronicles of Narnia
A Christian Teacher’s Guide to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
A Teacher’s Guide to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
I also contributed a chapter to Women and C.S. Lewis, which is how I met Andrew (he contributed a chapter, too, and we were both interviewed on a radio show together)!
I love sharing how Lewis’s books (and not just The Chronicles of Narnia) can help us go “further up and further in” — coming to know and love Jesus “better than we ever have before.”
I’m honored to speak often at events hosted by my dear friends at the C.S. Lewis Foundation and the C.S. Lewis Institute, and to be a regular guest on the Pints with Jack podcast.
If I can serve Jesus by serving you and your community, I’d love to…
What people are saying…
“Christin has a real ability to connect with her audience — it’s obvious that she cares deeply for their spiritual growth. As a speaker, she’s approachable and accessible. She has the expertise and the scholarship, but she stays focused on how Lewis’s wisdom is practical and relevant to our daily lives.”

I give talks on the life lessons and specific spiritual themes in each of The Chronicles individually. I also give talks on Lewis together with my husband — Lewis scholar, author and Episcopal priest Andrew Lazo.
Each of these talks is available as a single presentation or a 2-4 session retreat, and ALWAYS tailored to the specific audience and event. (Titles too!) Of course, if you have something else in mind — another topic or theme — please just ask!

“We have called upon Christin many times to speak at the C.S. Lewis Institute, as she is a gifted speaker who engages the audience and creates an enjoyable learning environment — blending reason, imagination and the Scriptures to help make truth come alive.”

What people are saying…
“Andrew and Christin Lazo are dynamic, engaging, and compelling presenters on a number of topics, but especially all things C.S. Lewis. They have such a mastery of the life and work of this 20th-century literary giant They offer keen insights, unpacking the depths of inspiration that can be found in his writings. I value each interaction I’ve had with Andrew and Christin, and look forward to many more to come.”
