Virtual VBS for GrownUp Girls®
Every summer I host a free online Bible study for women in a private Facebook group. We call it Virtual VBS (Vacation Bible School) for GrownUp Girls!® We have a Bible reading plan, memory verses, reflection questions, videos, and sometimes — just for fun — songs, crafts, and recipes. It’s VBS, after all! Women from all over the world participate in this special study each year. We always have such a sweet time, encouraging one another to grow in our love for Jesus and His Word.
About VBS
How it all started
When I first launched my blog in 2013, I was looking for a theme or series idea, and felt inspired to write a nine-week study on the Gospel of John called “Virtual VBS for GrownUp Girls® ~ Summer in the Son.” We had such fun that this summer Bible study quickly became an annual tradition! For the first four or five years, we met here on my site — but we soon realized that the “Comments” section of a blog wasn’t the ideal place for deep conversation and personal prayer requests. So we moved to the Facebook group where we meet now. It’s a much livelier, more flexible and interactive space.
